Food for Life recently celebrated the arrival of a new refrigerated truck funded through a grant from The RCO Foundation, marking an important milestone in the organization's ongoing efforts to strengthen food security across Halton Region.

The new truck will expand Food for Life's ability to safely rescue, transport, and distribute fresh, nutritious food to the community partners and programs that support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. By increasing transportation capacity, the organization can rescue more surplus food, reduce waste, and help ensure that healthy food reaches more neighbours with dignity.

The ribbon-cutting celebration brought together representatives from Food for Life and The RCO Foundation to recognize the partnership and the community impact this investment will have for years to come.

At The RCO Foundation, we believe that meaningful community impact often begins with practical solutions. Supporting essential infrastructure like this refrigerated truck helps strengthen the organizations working every day to improve lives across our community.

Congratulations to the staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners of Food for Life on this exciting milestone. We are proud to support their mission and look forward to seeing the difference this new truck will make.
